Honey Buffalo Turkey Legs
-2 turkey drumsticks (about 2-2.5 lb. total)
-1/2 cup barbecue sauce
-1/3 cup ketchup
-2 tablespoons hot sauce (Tobasco or Louisiana-style)
-1 tsp onion powder
-salt to taste
-1/4 cup honey, microwaved until very warm
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Place 2 raw turkey drumsticks (about 2 to 2.5 lbs. total) in a glass baking dish. Set aside.In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, 1/3 cup ketchup and 2 tablespoons Tobasco or Louisiana-style hot sauce. Sprinkle in 1 tsp onion powder and salt to taste. Stir well.
Microwave about 1/4 cup honey♥ for 20 seconds or until thin. Stir immediately into marinade.Baste turkey legs with marinade, removing skin if desired. (If leaving skin on, try to work as much marinade down between flesh and skin as possible, brushing some over the outer skin as well.)Bake turkey legs covered for 40 minutes; uncover and bake 20 additional minutes, or until meat thermometer reads 165-170 and juices run clear. Serve immediately or refrigerate leftovers.
